Our Summer Holiday Club is completely FREE for children in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM).
The cost is £50 per week or £160 for 4 weeks for non-FSM children. (Paid up front)
This form is to register children who are in receipt of Free School Meals.

The club will run during the following times every day:

The club is for ages 6 – 16 ONLY.
The club is completely free for children in receipt of Free School Meals. The child’s FSM code must be provided.

During breakfast and lunch times children can socialise with other children and the team. There will also be free play, including board games, ice-breaker games, puzzles and more. This will improve children’s social development through talking, spending time together and playing together.
Enrichment Activity (Creativity) – 3D Art or Nature Scavenger Hunt
This activity will allow the young people to explore nature and the outdoors. They will need to be attentive and alert. It will be a chance for them to be as creative as possible, using colours, paints and other materials to draw and illustrate the many things they discover.

A bitesize session including short talks, group discussions and videos to inspire young people about the importance of nutrition and health.
Physical Activity – Cricket and Basketball
Breakfast & Free Play
During breakfast and lunch times children can socialise with other children and the team. There will also be free play, including board games, ice-breaker games, puzzles and more. This will improve children’s social development through talking, spending time together and playing together.
Enrichment Activity (Writing Skills) – Write and design Easter/Ramadan Card for a loved one or a letter to your future self
This activity will help improve children’s writing, designing and creativity skills. They will write a letter or create a card for a loved one for Easter or Ramadan. Emphasising and teaching them about the benefits of gratitude and thankfulness.

Physical Activity – Rounders and Nature Trek

During breakfast and lunch times children can socialise with other children and the team. There will also be free play, including board games, ice-breaker games, puzzles and more. This will improve children’s social development through talking, spending time together and playing together.
Enrichment Activity (Speaking Skills) – Create an “All About Me” poster and presentation
This activity will allow the children to have a go at public speaking. They will deliver mini-presentations about themselves to the rest of the group, something they may have not done before. There is a high percentage of Children with EAL within these areas, so developing their speaking skills is highly important

Enrichment Activity (Expressive Arts) – Role-playing scenarios of different emotions & feelings
This activity involves the children role-playing different scenarios. They will explore the opposing ways of behaving or reacting to the same situation. It will contribute to an increased awareness of their mental well-being by helping them to navigate and make sense of their emotions. Also demonstrating how to address different situations and relationships through positive behaviours such as kindness, empathy and diplomacy.

Physical Activity – Classic Sports Day
There will be medals and prizes for winners, as well as a certificate of participation ceremony.
Summer Holiday Club 2023 Programme
We will be offering a 4-week summer programme which will mean children will have an extended duration for to engage in a more comprehensive experience. This will allow us to dedicate ample time to each theme or activity, enabling a more thorough exploration, skill refinement, and a deeper understanding of creative aspects. The programme features designated themes each week, providing focused exploration and a logical progression of activities. This structured approach allows children to anticipate and understand the planned activities, creating a cohesive experience throughout the program. The distinct and unique themes each week will foster excitement and encourage active participation, and keep them coming back every day!

Week two will focus on developing children’s drama, acting and expressive skills, as well as building their confidence and self esteem.

Speaking & Listening
Week three focuses on enhancing speaking, listening, and communication skills, encouraging active participation in group settings.
Day 1: “All About Me” presentation based on poster from week one & Simon says fitness game
Day 2: Show and Tell & Mini Track and Field
Day 3: Debate Corner & Handball/Cricket
Day 4: News Reporter Interviews & Mini Football Matches
Exploring Emotions & Behaviour
Week four will delve into the exploration of emotions and behavior while also nurturing social awareness, empathy, and teaching about positive interpersonal interactions.
Day 1: Designing an art collage about the 6 core emotions & Cricket tournament
Day 2: Emotions theater role-playing the 6 core emotions & Football skill drills game
Day 3: Positive behaviour posters & Capture the flag
Day 4: Role-Play Resolutions embodying virtues and positive behaviour & Mini Olympics
